Windows, storage and installation
Steam lists 64-bit Windows 10/11 and 40 GB available space, with an SSD recommended. Leave room for the platform’s update process; the published install requirement is not a promise about every future download.
Verify files before guessing launch options
For missing or damaged files, use Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. Consult Steam’s linked instructions. This check is not a guaranteed cure for every crash; we do not prescribe an unverified DX11 launch argument.
Protect progress while investigating
Record the exact symptom, platform, version and steps to reproduce. Before changing or replacing saves, preserve an available backup using your platform’s supported tools and check cloud-sync status. Do not assume Turning Points repairs a damaged save.

Use the official Steam news feed for dated PC announcements and your console’s update information for that platform. A patch note about one issue does not guarantee that every similar symptom or platform is fixed.
